A \u00e1gua do lago \u00e9 pouco profunda e mais salgada do que a m\u00e9dia, n\u00e3o estando completamente separada do mar, uma vez que a \u00e1gua do mar o preenche durante a mar\u00e9 alta atrav\u00e9s de fendas subterr\u00e2neas. N\u00e3o muito longe do lago, existem fal\u00e9sias com 160 metros de altura, de onde se podem observar golfinhos.
