Tribunj story

Tribunj has been located in the very heart of Dalmatia, only 15 km from Šibenik and 60 km from Zadar. Tribunj has excellent transport connections, with close access to Adriatic motorway and two airports, but, at the same time, it is sufficiently distant from frequent roads to provide the peace and serenity you prefer for a vacation. Tribunj developed from a medieval fortress Jurjevgrad, mentioned in the 13th century, which spread onto a picturesque peninsula crossing over an old stone bridge. Packed houses, narrow streets, numerous churches, fort and castle ruins are the testimonies of the rich and troubled history which contribute to that special Dalmatian atmosphere. Nowadays, people of Tribunj are renowned fishermen and olive oil producers who also provide tourist services. Accommodation is available in private apartments, hotels and camping site, while Tribunj’s marina with 260+ berths is a true nautical oasis. The indented coastline, clean waters, diving and sailing schools, taverns and traditional menus, performances of harmony-singing groups, public festivities and vicinity of national parks Krka and Kornati will satisfy the most demanding guests. Furthermore, the intact, fairy tale-like  surroundings of Tribunj with unspoiled nature, fields, vineyards and olive groves, and preserved traditional buildings bring you back to the genuine Mediterranean. Arranged field roads and trails are ideal for cyclists, hikers and walkers.
